This is our Seventh Fab Five Friday! Can you believe it?! We encourage you to ponder your Fab Five. Feel free to share the outcome of your positive reflection with us! We truly are blessed by your feedback and participation.
(1) This week, I am grateful for:
Laura: Knowing I'm not alone and never will be. He is always by my side, even when I try to push him away. He is always there to gently whisper to me and pull me back to Him. He never gives up on me.
Falen: For my husband's amazing ability to take tests! If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you will know the results of a promotion test we have been awaiting were released and he made it!
(2) This week, I enjoyed:
Laura: Swimming, swimming, and more swimming! I also enjoyed discovering and reading many blog posts from Weak and Loved. And I enjoyed all my lunch time visits with friends and family this week.
Falen: Roadtripping with the family to St. Louis. Here are some funny snapshots taken with the PhotoBooth App during the drive:
(3) This week, I learned:
Laura: Perseverance: Steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
Falen: A lot! Ahhahaha. Without going into too much detail, I have learned Revelations is nothing to be afraid of. I have learned that it is okay to step out of my comfort zone and take a leap of faith. I have learned the power of an apology. I have learned about the vast amount of fun able to be had in Dallas.
Laura: Not giving up, even when it feels like I'm getting nowhere. . .fast!
Falen: Visiting a new life group! I have been leery about trusting women again in the past year or so. It was a huge step. I made it. And, more than likely, I will return next week.
(5) I am looking forward to:
Falen: Hearing all about how awesome Spirit Song is from Laura! And, shopping this weekend for a romantic getaway weekend in Dallas next weekend.

I enjoyed spending more time at your blog this week too, Laura!
ReplyDeleteThis week..
I am grateful for God's care of me here and my children far away (with grandmas)... that nobody got hurt when somebody drove a golf cart through the wall of a pole barn..
I enjoyed writing like crazy and spending extra time with my husband
I learned how I ACHE for them when they are gone, how I am still in love with my husband, how it is possible to get writer's block and even get bored when they are not here!
I accomplished half of a draft of my next book and some major house cleaning
I am looking forward to getting their sweet arms around me again when this week is over!!!
(posting on this later today- things I learned while the kids were away!)

Sounds like you definitely had a productive yet enjoyable week even though your little rays of sunshine weren't with ya! Sooo excited about your next book! Golf cart into a pole barn?! Soo glad nobody was hurt!
DeleteAnd in my excitement about Spirit Song, I left out that I'm soooo very excited to read this new book I found online this week and ordered...Weak and Loved:A Mother-Daugther Love Story! I'm sure it will be mentioned in future posts:)
Delete1. I am greatful for a trip to Denver: to see a man who is more like a father to me than my own, to see my grandma who has alsimers but remembered me and getting to spend two days in a car with my Maryland bros! Also for the generosity God has placed on so many peoples hearts. Generosity that poured over and over into my life many times this.
ReplyDelete2. This week I enjoyed road tripping to Denver with my Maryland bros!
3. This week I learned that waiting doesn't feel so long when you keep busy, invest in others and spend lots of time with other people!
4. This week I accomplished, surprising a friend, making their day and making myself relax instead of run around! :-)
5.I am looking forward to.......ok I'm not going to lie, I've been doing a great job not counting down....but there is 1 week left. No matter what the outcome, I'm looking forward to the waiting process being over and just knowing how to move forward!
#3 sounds like you are making your "waiting room" your "work room." :) Sooo proud of you! Glad you got to relax, travel, and have fun!! Absolutely love that you share your life with us here. (((hugs)))
DeleteYou are soooo right. The waiting doesn't feel so long when you keep busy! Melissa, I am so very happy to hear you were still able to go to Denver after all! And Melissa, no matter what the outcome, don't ever forget how beautiful, valuable, and priceless you are. You know how I know those things about you (other than how brilliant I am to know those things, LOL)....OUR FATHER SAYS SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteI found you on the blog hop at Naptime Review, and I'm so glad I did! Praise God for a pair of ladies like you who share their love for Him in such a beautiful way! Enjoy your trip! God bless!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower, hope to see you at my place!
