"I'm not where I want to be, but I'm not where used to be."
I get easily frustrated by struggling with the same things over and over.
But it's a process, not a project (thank you Furtick). I've come a long way from where I was a year ago. So while Satan wants me to get frustrated and give up, I will continue on in God's Truth.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26 (NIV)
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
Matthew 6:34 (MSG)
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
Ephesians 5:3 (NIV)
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1 (NIV)
These are the Truths I hold close to my heart at this time in my life and cling to in times of frustration.
What Truths do you cling to?

John 15, 2 Cor. 1:21- God establishes me in Jesus Christ. He does the work. He produces good fruit in my life. Ps 62:5-8- He is my hope- I can pour out my heart to him- he is my refuge. He delivers me. I choose moment by moment to abide- trust and obey- but it is good to know that (Ps. 37:23-24) when I stumble I will not fall headlong- for the Lord holds me by the hand.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you Laura. May the peace of Christ rest upon you today- may he strengthen you as you seek Him.
Definitely some of my faves up there on that list!! Psalm 139 - God knows me, loves me, and changes me. It's easy for me to rest into the truth of this Psalm when I get frustrated.... I say that because frustration usually stems from a pity party thrown by me and for me..... God has so much more in store for me than for me to be inwardly focusing on what's failing rather than whats succeeding.
ReplyDeleteI think for me, certain truths of the Word become more alive to me during particular seasons. Like when I went through a season of financial insufficiency, Psalm 23 and Philippians 4:19 became very REAL to me. When I was in a season of being afraid, Isaiah 43 was my mainstay and the Scripture I prayed with a lot.
ReplyDeleteI thank God that He is able to provide us with the truth we need for the step we are on. Thanks for this powerful post Laura. God bless you.
YES! There are many Truths, but I hold certain ones closer at certain times in life. Bless you Gertrude <3
